Distributor gear 140-160 1973

You have probably seen some of my posts on the Yellow Peril. Everything
in the crankcase was pretty gummy (looked sort of like nicotine stains)
and I ended up having to drive the distributor gear out from the bottom.
It has about 0.015" of accumulated varnish-like stuff on the shaft.
Carb cleaner would probably have loosened it but I already had everything
else out of the block so I just used brute force. Note that this item
is both expensive and brittle. I have broken a couple of them. If you
should happen to break yours, let me know and we can work something out.
