b230f water loss, oil loss, and tranny fluid loss 200

Check the seal where the water pump meets the head (top of water pump - some call it the mushroom seal I think). I just discovered a leak there that took awhile to find. Best time to find it is with the engine cold. Start it, then rev it up a little and take a look while revving. Problem is the leak doesn't show up once the engine is warm, it evaporates......Also check the where the hose goes into the back of the pump (same general vicinity). Look below the water pump too for a lower pump seal leak.

You might have a bad tranny tailshaft seal. Sprays ATF all over the place so you can't tell where it is leaking. Grab your driveshaft near the tranny and shake hard. If it moves around alot you probably have a bad tailshaft bushing/seal. Be sure and replace the bushing and the seal. If you don't replace the bushing the seal will leak again. Common problem at 150-200k miles. Did mine around 190K, so your car has the right mileage for this...

Check front of engine around water pump/timing belt area for front engine seal leaks (3 of them). A bad front seal can cause a water pump leak too because of oil damage. You could have related problems...Check around valve cover, back of head/valve cover and bottom of block where tranny bolts on to engine (could be dreaded rear main??)for other oil leaks.

Also make sure your flame trap, its hoses and the oil breather box are clean. This can stop the rear main and other engine seals from leaking by removing the excessive crankcase pressure caused by a clogged PCV system. Ask me how I know about this...

Good luck,
