Idle Speed 700 1991

What is the correct idle speed for a b234f with auto transmission?
Should the car start and idle immediately at 750 RPM
or
Should the car start, with the idle at 1000 and drop to 750 after a couple of minutes.
and
At idle should the idle speed be rock solid or hunt a bit up and down ie. in a band from 750 - 600 RMP??

I've posted a lot of stuff on the board here, and my thanks to everyone and the FAQ's .. it's helped a lot!! ... fixed most everything so far...
