Replacing plastic fuel line from filter outlet to injection rail - anyone done this? 200

This winter has (for some reason) resulted in a few pinhole leaks in the rigid plastic fuel line that leads from the filter outlet to the rail. I plan to replace the entire run of plastic line with SAE30R9 grade rubber injection hose.

My biggest question is how to secure the hose the undercarriage of the car - can I just cable-tie it off every few feet? Also, should I spray that chassis "tar-protection" stuff on the hose once it's on secure?

If anyone has done something similiar and would offer a few tips, I would greatly appreciate it.
