Strange 'chaffing' noise from distributor/MAF area...Can't pinpoint 200 1985

I recently replaced the Distributor and MAF in my 85' 240. The car now drives fine. However while in idle I now hear a random brief noise which occurs 1-2 times per minute and is coming from the distributor area or the area close to the MAF but I cannot pinpoint it's exact location.

This sound seems like a "chaff" sound or something that rubs for 0.2 seconds at something at a very high speed. This sound is external to the engine close to above mentioned area.

There doesn't seem to be a performance chance in the engine when this sound occurs. While in speed the sound doesn't appear.

Is this something related with the distributor or the rotor making contact with the contacts in the distributor caps?

Has anyone experience a similar problem?

Thanks
