Susan's head - bowed! Voice of Experience needed! 200 1980

I took the head from Susan's 245 to a friend who laid a straightedge on
it from front to back. We were able to get a 0.012" feeler gage under it
at the center. The face looks pretty smooth. I am wondering if it would
be better to have it shaved or to try to pull it flat with the headbolts
against the block. The rationale for this is that if we could pull the
bow out of it, then the cam bores would be properly aligned.
Does this work or not?
How about straightening it in a press?
