760 dah in 740 Has anyone tried this. 700

Fell in love with my freinds 760 interior. My 740 dash is cracked and I was planning on removing to repair. We found a 760 in a junk yard over the weekend. I was thinking of ging back sat and picking it up.
I think it will physically fit I'm just worried about the gauges. If I swap over to the 760's instruments will I run into any problems?
I think if I change the wiring harness the 760 instruments should work fine.
It's a auto just like mine and I think all of the gauges should work the same.
Any info is appreciated.
Thanks CJ
