240 turn signal/wiper switches in 140 140-160

i have a 74' 145 and wanted to put 240 turn signal/wiper switches on it. one of the main reasons was i wanted to move the rear wiper/wash switch up to the arms and off of dash. another plus is if i get arms of a cruise control car i would have extra switches for lights and ect. at a fingers reach. so i got the arms, center mount, plastic covers, and wheel from a pick n pull. the mecanical fit was perfect. the electrical was a little diferent, but with some expierementing and some jumpers it all works. the only problems i ran into was that the plastic covers did not work. the original cover is in three pieces (dash, top, and bottom). the new 240 style are two pieces(top and bottom). the angle of the stearing colum to the dash seems to be different from 140's to 240's. the ignition switch also seems to be in diferent places, about a half and inch. one way i'm thinking of solving the cover problem is to take the new covers and cut the back halfs off and use the original dash part. i'll try and post some pictures this week.
