...are you sure it was only 3 years? 1800

ok....
1. the fuel pump pulses out gas with cranking the engine, i will check pressure tommorrow
2. i opened the float bowels and looked at the little bowl, the float moves up and down easily and the little button above it appears to depress easily. I had a brainstorm and decided to detatch the little cables from the bottom of the float bowl --- did so and blasted a little wd40 into each hose ---cleaned a very small amount of rust outta the bottom of float bowls and made sure passage out was clear again by blasting a little wd40 into each hole....all clear....reattatched little hoses to bottom of float bowl and now BOTH leak....what did i do wrong? i made sure to include the little washer when reattatching both hoses...do i need to put some kind of fixative round the little hoses? the wierd thing is the more i tighted them the MORE they leak....what am i doing wrong?
3. The pistons slided up and down very easy; and yea i did get a nice fountain of ATF out of the top of each one....guess i overfilled a little....
would like to try again before work...what am i missing with those 2 little hoses?
thanks again
