'Catalyser', engine, and year? 200 1991

'catalyser'=catalytic converter. They were standard on all
US Volvos after a certain year, because they needed to be installed
to meet emissions standards. US (especially California) emissions
standards were much stricter than Europe's standards until quite
recently.

The B200 uses the same block as the B230, but has a smaller
displacement. I'm not sure if it's sleeved down to give a smaller
bore, or if the crank stroke is shorter. It was used in European
Volvos because with gas being more expensive over there, fuel economy
is more important. Some countries also levied an extra sales tax
on cars above a certain engine displacement.

England was especially wierd in this regard - they taxed based
on piston area, which lead to a generation of British cars
with narrow piston bores and long strokes.
