DIfference between DL and GL 200 1986

After 1988, maybe later, the production runs were smaller and the DL/GL was dropped. No more Corona wheels. Any car could be ordered with any option. This included the large tach, sunroof, leather upholstery, power windows, fancy radio/tape/amp. Maybe a CD changer.

1988 and earlier GL (Grand Luxe, rather than DeLuxe) meant Corona wheels, chrome plated door lock knobs, power windows, and maybe the other items listed above.

Earlier than 1986, GL also meant a different paint color, clear coat method rather than enamel (or whatever it is), a GL log on the steering wheel, M46 got a leather shifter boot.

Maybe there's more, that's all I can think of now.

Bob
