Headlight Wipermotor problems 900

My 97 960 81754 miles has a problem with the drivers side headlight wiper motor when activated it will make 2 passes then stop at the 12oclock position.When activated again it wont do anything but 10 or 15 minutes later it will work stopping at the 12oclock position again. Is there relay somewhere? Can the motor be repaired at my local electric motor repair shop? My local dealer wants 186.71 for a new one Help!
