88 240 runs poor whenever it rains 200

I own a 88 240 wagon, and it runs poorly whenever it rains. When its dry, the car runs fine, no problems. In the rain, most of the time it simply doesn't start, and if it does, I have trouble accelerating, especially on hills. I have spark, and I can smell fuel whenever I try to start it, so what is the problem here?
