Knock senser/swap out on 230F 200 1990

I just bought me a 1990 244 the engine is bad. I need to know about the knock
senser on the engine. The 90 engine is blown no good the senser bolts to the block. I have a 86 engine that screws in what do I do to make this work. I'm swapping out the intake and can change the temp senser. Do I just splice the wire are what. I know that somebody out there has run into this problem besides me. The 1990 has onboard OBD the 86 doesn't. Please help out.
Rodney
