Wiring a 240 for Towing 200 1984

I too have acquired a junk yard OEM hitch for my 84 245Ti. Instead of adding to the string below on hitches, starting another one on wiring for towing.

Has anyone tried the draw-tite "modulite" on a 240? Seems this is the best way to draw current (direct from batt.) for the tow, rather than asking for problems by splicing into the car's tail and brake wiring.
