'86 240 wagon cargo window gasket replacement--use a 93 wagon gasket? 200

I've got a rust spot in the right rear cargo window area of my 86 volvo 240 wagon. i'll treat it with por-15 after i remove the window.

i would like to replace the old gasket with a 93 volvo wagon flush gasket i found in a local junk yard.

questions:
can i use a 93 volvo wagon flush-style gasket as a replacement of the old style gasket?
do i have to use the 93 rear cargo glass with the 93 gasket.
can i use the gasket at all--is it interchangeable.

is it difficult to do all this or should i get the glass shop to do this.

thanks to all,
byron in Texas
