Hissing when accelerating>>>>>>>>>> 200

My car makes a hissing sound when accelerating. But wait, it isn't quite that simple...

It only makes the sound when the heater control is in the middle. Meaning it doesn't make the sound when the heat is off or on full. No change in performance.

Do I have a vacuum leak problem or is it something else?
