Speedometer Failed 700 1991

My speedo for my 700 was actinging eratic than it went belly up altogether. I farted around for about three months before I decided to check the sensor on the rear axle plate. I couldn't get the damn thing off because of the Mn winters. The wires were good so I went to the instrument cluster which was a waste of time. I eventually went out to the parts car I've got sitting out at a friend's barn and I took the rear axle house plate off. I put some synthetic gear lube in it and wala, Speedometer and cruise control again. Up to 225,000 and climbing. I hope this helps.
