Check Engine Light: OBD Fuel Trim Error 200

Hello,

Just recently the check engine light in my 1991 245 (B230F) has come on. I followed the directions provided in the 700/900 FAQ section of this website for obtaining the errors produced by the onboard diagnostic system. The error code I got from the Bosch LH Jetronic 2.4 system is 2-3-2:

"Fuel trim (lambda control) too lean or too rich at idle".

Just by the smell and recent gas milage I know that the car is running too rich. If this is the case the 700/900 FAQ section informs me that I have a high fuel pressure problem or leaking injector. What is the best method to test for these problems? Could the oxygen sensor also be at fault?

Also, I unsuccessfully tried to reset the OBD system first following the Haynes and then the 700/900 FAQ section instructions. Has anyone esle encountered this problem?

Thanks for the help ahead of time.

Greg
