How do i check my coil? 1800

Also, a friend of mine "hack" (literally) the armored cable at coil side, peel back some centimeters of the metalic armor with a tile, and attach the internal cable to the (+) on the new coil (the armored cable cross the firewall trought the hole used by the choke).

You need to close the coil hole on the firewall, or probably you will be breath some fumes from the old engine :-).

This force brute method save the problem of recabling at the key lock.
