Phone cradle - were did/would you put it ? 200 1988

I would appreciate your ideas (and photos) about the siting of components for a mobile (cell) phone car unit. The speaker cum control box is recommended to be put at the passenger's side under the dash, but the phone cradle is the stickier bit.

So far I considered relocating the cigar lighter and fixing the mounting plate of the cradle over that bit. (Note that this is a right-hand-drive car, so the cigar lighter is at the far side of the centre console from the driver.) Generally, I do not want to drill holes in trim that is not easily replaced.

Thanks,
George
