How difficult is it to replace the front windshield wiper motor? 200 1986

I would actually take the crank arm off the end of the motor shaft. One nut, then the arm pulls off the oval shaft. This also makes it easier to extract the motor through the firewall.
You don't NEED to take the glovebox out, but it's easier than working up under and behind it.
Before doing any of this, I'd try just adding a ground wire from wiper motor case to the firewall for a good ground- half of these things simply have a corroded rivet on the existing brass ground strap.
