air duct fan does not turn off (and a bonus question) 200

Scan down the list and read my post titled, Shakey engine...SOLVED.

I don't know what year your car is but I have a 87 that when it was new the fan did not run in the off position. I also have a 92, and its fan does not run in the off position.

I don't think they are supposed to run when off. I've never read anything about them running when off in the owners manual.

In my case it is a malfunction of the switch that is also bumping my rpm's up to
950 at idle.
