What lights are these? 200 1982

I did research when I installed E-code lights on my 240. My understanding is upgrading the wiring to the relay system Don mentioned is only necessary if you use high-intensity bulbs (somebody correct me if I'm wrong). If you use the standard lamps, which are somewhere around 55- or 60-watts, you can keep the wiring as it is, which is what I've done to my car.

One wiring change I did have to do is re-route the three wires that plug into the lamps. The old wiring arrangement was designed for the quad sealed-beams that originally came with the American 240s. A local import auto store had an adaptor that worked, but you can re-arrange the wires yourself so the low-beams and high-beams work as they should.

I originally bought mine because they looked so cool, but I love them more because the lighting is so much of an improvement.
