No defroster on 91 240, not too good! 200

The saga continues...

My daughter called me last night, stating that the windshield defroster would not clear it, during a humid rainstorm here in NC. She verified the dash controls were set correct, as shown in the owners manual. FWIW, when I test drove the car (new to me 1 month), the blower speed fan delivers a lot of velocity & noise, but the temp didn't seem to change (always HOT). I didn't really notice what you turned to redirect the flow...

On my Saab 900 fleet, vacuum controls the air direction...I am guessing the same is true for the 240 Brick. Where does the vacuum connect thru/to the dash? Also, PO installed a CD player indash - I have seen stereo guys torture the ventilation system as well.

Please advise, oh great Brickmeisters.....where is "the low hanging fruit"??
