1987 740 trunk leak tire well

After significant rain I can find a bit of water in the wheel well on the right side of the trunk. Also I think there is dampness near the right trunk hinge. It feels damp when I place my hand on the arc shaped part of the hinge and feel toward the front of the car. It looks like there are some seams in the body that meet there. I caulked (just slathered it on hoping for the best) but the problem remains. Any ideas? There is not a lot of water - maybe a tablespoon after a day of rain so the wheel well just gets a bit wet. I see that there are some balck drain tubes near there but I think the leak is above that juncture of the tubes - I caulked them too.
