700 Turbo bogging down and rich mixture. -Timing Retarded, check Knock Sensor & Wiring. 700

Ah, the knock sensor! Check the wiring to it if you still have the original biodegradable harness, and consider replacing the Bosch Knock Sensor (about $30-$40).

Here's a section out of the FAQ that describes some of the symptoms associated with a failing knock sensor. Also, a glowing exhaust manifold or turbo can be another symptom since a lot of the combustion is taking place too late (after being expelled from the cylinder).
