Hi all...still having hesitation problems and intermittent throttle response problems. The engine sometimes hesitates at speed as well as sometimes there is no power when the accellerator is depressed. Car starts and idles great also seems to work fine with lots of power sometimes. I think I have narrowed the problem to one with the ignition somewhere. What would cause the timing light to not blink steadily in time with the engine? Would this be a problem with the ignition control module or a problem with the hall effect switch in the distributor and would a fault in these areas give me the drivability problems I am having? I have checked cleaned and tightened the contacts on the plug at the ignition control module...my next check will be all the wiring that runs from the ignition control module under the crank case and to the distributor and to the coil...am I on the right track??
