Strut on backwards? 900

Its a long story. But short version is, after 5 months in the body shop to "make sure it was right" and many accident related repairs I made myself, later I find my tires wearing wierd. Understand that frame was supposedly straightened again after the first tire problems, but continued to wear and even start to wobble.

I took the car to a reputable individual last week who showed me that the frame was still out. He straightened the frame and found bad strut and ball joint (another body shop miss) which he replaced. Car handled much better, but with slight drift to left after alignment. He is suspicious looking at strut tower on strut he did not replace we noticed that strut is toward the rear of the strut tower opening. The strut he replaced is toward the front of the tower hole.

We are now suspecting that the body shop reversed the struts when put back on the car. Does anyone know how to verify?

Thanks - Gary
