Coil readings 700

I hope someone out there can help me with the readings I am getting off my coil. I have a 88 740 with a B230F engine,non-turbo. I took the readings between #1 & #15 terminal conections. The readings were umping all over the place, from 37.19 to 0.04 and on and on. When I finally got a stable reading that lasted about 30 seconds it read 0.09. So I used my newer meter and the readings started off the same way and with the same results. Well , what do you think ? I had a bad running problem while driving and lost about 90% of power , even with the gas pedel floored. Thanks for you thoughts. Dan. PS I had the meter set at 20 ohms.
