remove and replace 945 hatch 900 1993

Unfortunatly, yesterday while backing out of a store parking lot the driver of a ford pickup decided to do the same. we met in the middle. his high bumper won out an hit my wagon in the rear hatch, smashing it and shattering the window.
I have found a replacement in a salvage yard and was looking for information how to remove the old one and install amd align the new one correctly. Ive been told that it is very difficult to align the hatch. Has anyone out there done this without running into trouble? How big a job is this and would I need any special tools? Help would be greatly appreciated. Than you all.
