'73 p1800es as a daily driver... 1800 1973

was looking at another old volvo forum and several members were of the opinion that 30 year old volvos should only be driven on a limited basis.reasons given were expense/shortage of parts, reliability, etc.
...
my '73 es has a few minor problems (overdrive soloniod, or at least o rings going in next week), but it seems to be basically sound. it seems to me no harm is done driving it pretty much every day. i know nothing lasts forever.
just wondering if i'm in a minority or if most owners of thirty something volvos share my opinion.
