B18/B20 weak point strikes again 444-544

Look down the lift bore & check to see if the lobe offset looks OK. Also check & see if the cam is tapered the right way. Some grinders have no idea & grind them all the same way when they should be 4 tapered forwards & 4 tapered backwards. Lobe offset can be corrected fairly easily by narrowing the lobe on one side only. Biggest problem with the early camshafts was mostly the lobes are far too wide & all over the place. After you put a cam in you should make sure the lifters are turning & that they are turning the right way.
