1989 740 GLE 700 1989

I have the chance to buy an 89 740 GLE for $400/159k/one owner. Car drove nicely, but underneath the drivers side floor mat, the carpet was saturated with anti-freeze. What could this be? What I like is the fact it was owned by one person and amazingly clean. What I'm reticent about is that I could spend $400 and put 3-4x into it rather quickly once it goes up on the rack. Have an excellent relationship with Volvo dealer, his advice was buy it, if it has major problems, they'd buy it for parts for what I paid. Is hard to find parts?

We have 93 240 wagon with 123k miles that's flawless and we want a second car to keep up in the country as a backup should one of us want to go back to the city, the other has transportation.
