How does one remove the outer windshield trim? 700 1987

hi, i took mine off prior to car being painted, i took the bottom piece off first, then the sides, and top last, for the bottom all i di was gently lift an end of the strip and pull/slide teh moulding off in a smooth manner keeping it level to the floor. for the side pieces i slid them down the winsheild towards the ground, and lastly removed teh top same as the bottom.

NOTE:

do this outside or in a spacious area, so you dont bind the moulding cause u have too little room, and it bends easy

also

you're bound to break some small plastic clips, mine were extreemely brittle as my car is almost 20 years old, the only ones i broke were on teh bottom (they look) to be most flimsy but i got rpelacements from teh dealer for like a buck apiece they are push pin types

hope this helps
