Stereo install question ('93 945T) 900 1993

I'm putting in an aftermarket radio, I've got the radio and harness, kit will be in on Monday.

When I picked up the harness, the package of which says it is for the 960 (of a year range including '93), the installer said that this would plug into wires from the amp, then I just need to get the wires from the harness to the back of the radio, possibly with extensions on the wires.

Sounds good, just plug it into wires from the amp and do some splicing, no problem, I can handle that. But when I looked under my dash to the left of the steering wheel there were a ton of wires and several items that *could* be the ampl

What the heck does the amp look like, and where exactly is it located? Is it near the bottom of the stack of wires, or is it up behind the odometer? It is easy to access? Do I need to pick up some extra wire to extend it to the back of the radio?

Thanks!

I found this from the FAQ, but still can't find it.
The amp is located above the drivers side knee panel, to the left of the steering wheel. There are two bolts holding it to a securing point, and a Bosch relay or something is attached to the amp itself. The amp has a rectangular connector which connects it with power and the speaker wires, and a din cable coming from the radio.
