200 Radio Problem, plea for advice, can't take conservative talk radio much longer

Thanks for all the replies, I will save them in my Volvo file. I do have a newish Panasonic radio/CD player that my daughter had put into her Subaru Legacy and then removed when she sold the car. The bad thing about this radio is that I remember my daughter was always was taking the faceplate on and off when she parked the car - I never feel worried about someone wanting to rip off the old Volvo radio!

Interesting you should mention about the radio code - I had a new battery installed yesterday, then went to turn the radio on and got the e code. Rummaged through the car's blue owner's folder (I am its second owner), everything was there except the plastic card that would have the code. Flipped through the Owner's handbook (stamped with every service) and discovered deep in the middle of the book four numbers written at the top of a page, gave them a try and it was the radio code!
