Lately, I've had some weird problems with my 88 240. One morning, it would not stast, and I heard the fuel pump relay snapping. I manually closed the fpr circuit, heard the fuel pump running, and started the car. I figured it was just oxidation on one of the connectors or something. Well, I drove it like that for a day, having to manually jump the relay each time I started the car. The next day, when I went to jump it, I didn't hear the fuel pump start up. I changed the fuel pump, jumped the circuit, and heard the new pump working. As I was on school property the first time the pump didn't start, and I did all the work on the campus, my main goal was just to get the car home before it was towed. About three blocks later, off campus thank god, the car stalled again. I tried to jump it again, but the fuel pump would not start up. The car always seems to stall when I'm turning too. What is the problem? Is it just oxidation on a connector? Do I have to replace the fuel pump again? Should I have replaced it the first time? I'm in another parking lot now, and I don't think I'll be towed, but I need my car back! I don't want to have to tow it to the dealer for a diagnostic. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
