take it or leave it ? 1800 1972

Well, the catch is the price. I have had lots of feedback saying look for rust. Problem is ... if it has some rust but is not totally collapsing due to it, what is it worth. He has no asking price, I walked up to him and asked if it was available for sale. So it's up to me to name a price. I've scoured the net looking for ads selling 1800's of this period to use as a guide for a rustless price, and found little to work with. Kelly's Blue Book doesn't even list 1800's. So what is it worth if it's rusty and needs new frame supports ? And it is likely to require towing home. He said it needed a fuel pump and I've already learned that's expensive, too much for it to be replaced before evaluation. So I expect it to be a project car. If I could get it for $100, I would jump at it. I don't think he'd take that little, but I still might get it for a low price. But at what point should I pass ?

By the way, it's a stickshift.
