Idle adjustment possible? - 92 960 - B6304 900 1992

Good morning all,

I just finished cleaning up my throttle body (per the great instructions in the FAQ), but now I've got a fast idle. Part of the FAQ says that the idle can be adjusted by the set screw, and another says that this system is all computer controlled and can't be adjusted. I was wondering if someone could help me better understand which is right? The idle is running around 1000RPM when cold and 1400RPM when hot. OBD test mode 1 showed a code of 2-2-3. Test mode 3 successfully(?) operated the IAC. So now I'm wondering what the correct way is to get my idle down? I'm hesitant to adjust the set screw without better understanding the correct method.

I should probably also throw in the fact that I just changed out my catalytic converter, but reused the old O2 sensor. I figured since the mileage was low (123k), it should still have life in it. But just in case it might have an effect on the answer...

Thanks much!
-John
