I have a 1992 740 that has a non working driver's power window. At the local pick and pull I got a window regulator from a 1991 740. My 1992 740 has the existing window regulator riveted in place as opposed to bolted in as was the one I took off of the 1991 740. I can drill the rivets out. However as I was looking at my 1992 740 a few minutes ago it appears the mechanical connections to the window from the regulator are different than the way the 1991 740 regulator was connected to its window. Has anyone changed a regulator on a 1992 740? Do you have to take a regulator from a 1992 to replace one from a 1992 740 or should the 1991 740 regulator work. Help!
