John,
thanks for the detailed response. it sounds like you got a bit of experience on this type. the parts list can be quite confusing and I was trying to attack it one item at a time crossmember first. jbowser did a conversion on a 1983 and indicated the the auto and m46 crossmembers where the same. Is this the same for my 1990? On the shifter will I need the shifter cage and linkage or just the linkage? Both my 1990 Sedan and the 1989 740 Turbo donor are LH2.4. doesn't this make the flywheel compatable? the 740 has a hydraulic clutch setup that I'm hoping to use. is the tranmission mount bracket your refering to the rubber tranny mounts that sell for around $10. is any part of the 740 driveshaft useable. Sorry about so many questions but i'm still very sketchy on my parts list.
