Transmission crossmember questions 200

I can't answer about the crossmember, but I suspect they are the same, just mounted to different points in the unibody.

The shifter "cage" is different. The 740 shifter is about 4" further back. You need 240 shift linkage, complete.

Yes, the flywheel will be compatible. The 740 hydraulic clutch will be a chore to adapt as there are no factory parts for a 240 hydraulic clutch. I would use the stock 240 cable actuated clutch and throwout arm.

The transmission mount bracket I am referring to is the part which bolts to the transmission. The round rubber mount bolts to it. You will need the 240 transmissionn mount bracket.

In order to use the 740 driveshaft you are going to spend some money at a driveshaft shop. A 240 driveshaft will bolt in, but you'll need to change the output flange on the OD. They are sealed (loctite) to the output drive shaft and you'll need a beefy puller to remove it after you take the large nut off. If you need a 240 output flange, I have one that you can have for the postage.
