Transmission crossmember questions 200

You would probably be better off finding a 240 donor with all the parts. If you collect all the parts separately you will probably end up paying more. I negotiated for all the parts I would need when I went from m47 to m46. I got mine for 150 bucks Canadian with the shifter, wiring harness, and driveshaft. The only thing I did not get the first time was the crossmember because I thought it was the same. I then ended up paying an extra 40 bucks for the right crossmember.
I am not sure about the auto crossmember, but the differences are subtle. You would have to put them all side by side to know for sure. But as I said you could probably make any of them work if you messed around with spacers.
Most of the M46 equipped 240s also have rectangular spacers between the crossmember and the frame. These are important to get the right clearance. The M47 crossmember does not have these.
