Rear window washer hose disappeared inside 700

My rear washer doo-hickey disintegrated recently, so I went to a scrap yard and found the perfect replacement. While installing it, though, the rubber hose that sends the fluid to the doo-hickey slipped back inside the tailgate, and I was wondering if anybody has any easy way to get at it, or will I have to take the tailgate paneling off, and just how difficult is that to do?
