How much rust is too much? 200 1983

Seven years ago, I got this car as an old rustbucket and, over the course of one summer, used generous amounts of Bondo and primer, plus a good paint shop, to do good work on the body.

But when I changed the tires last time, I noticed that there was rust on the underpanel right behind the driver's seat in the footwell for the rear driver's side seat -- where nobody sits anyway since I live by myself.

Question is, is there a fix for the small hole that is developing in the pan right next to the frame? Or is this the indication that I have only a year left on the car?
