Solved 1/2 my 80 245 light problem 200

Ok, I got some time to play with my latest project. After cleaning all grounds and removing the lights on all corners of my '80 245 and meticulously cleaning every contact and bulb I still couldn't get the rear and marker lights to come on with the front lights. I went back to my initial thought and removed the switch from the dash and found that the back of the switch had started to separate from the unit. After fidling with it I secured it with good old Duck Tape and reinstalled it. Suprise! it worked! Now, however, my signals and hazzards don't flash. It did this when I bought it but came back. What causes the flash to occur? Where do I look now?
Thanks group. You guys have been saviors!

Greg
P.S. I still have the orange "burnt bulb" indicator on the dash when in low beam mode but goes out when I apply the hi beams. Does this help?
