Strut mounts 700 1992

I agree with tomtbone not to use Scantech (or other cheap) strut top bearings. I replaced one last Summer with a "Meyle" brand, I think, and it wouldn't rotate freely but had a sort of stick-slip action with the spring bump stop rubber alternately flexing and releasing, if you follow. I concluded that the cheap bearings would not rotate properly against the weight of the car. It would have been better to re-pack the old bearing with grease (which you can do). Regards.
