another auto trans problem 200 1992

As I stated earlier this week, the kick down cable won't retract back into the transmission. So after unsuccessfully trying to spray lube into the cable, I decided to flush the transmission. I already had my IPD hose and started at it with a perfect flawless flush..............until I test drive it. The over-drive light in the dash won't go out. Prior to the flush the light came on and off using the switch to the side of the shifter. Now it stays on and the transmission still doesn't change gears appropriately. I think it is time to punt this one to someone with a rack and experience with this problem.
