Flathood 200

I have a '78 242GT that I'm parting out and it doesn't have an aluminum hood. I did see a '77 242GT with an aluminum hood that a Volvo mechanic had at Volvo of Westport, CT in the mid-80's. I wanted the car really bad, it had been converted into a turbo, and was full of R-Sport parts. The guy decided to sell it to me after I bought the '78.
You can always tell the aluminum hood becasue the silver paint doesn't stick well and flakes off on the GT. His car had perfect paint except for the hood, really stood out.
Nice find!
